As you can see from the map, I haven't travelled an awful lot... seen a lot of Canada, a few jaunts down to the States, not much of the rest of the world. However, in the past couple of years I have been lucky enough to be sent, as part of my work, to Ecuador, Kenya, Sweden and Chile. Because this has been work-related I've had a close-up glimpse at a variety of educational environments. I've certainly had an opportunity to think about the purpose of education
